Organization
The Human Resources Department (HRD) comprises:
- Technical Advisory Unit (TAU), responsible for supporting the Department’s activities through the preparation of studies, opinions, and reports across its various areas of intervention, as well as the development of IST human resources management tools and instruments.
- Human Resources Management Area (HRMA), responsible for developing and managing IST’s personnel administration and operational HR processes and procedures, including recruitment, career management, employment administration, and the management and provision of related information.
The Human Resources Management Area includes four units:
- Academic Staff and Researchers Unit (ASRU);
- Workforce Administration Unit (WAU);
- Payroll and Social Protection Unit (PSPU);
- Technical, Administrative Staff and Scholarship Holders Unit (TASU).
- People Well-being and Development Area (PWDA), responsible for developing and promoting training initiatives and well-being activities for the IST community, as well as managing matters related to remuneration and social protection.
The People Well-being and Development Area includes three units:
- Customer Service and Documentation Unit (CSDU);
- Well-being and Work-Life Balance Unit (WWBU);
- Training and Development Unit (TDU)
