“Psychological First Aid Workshop”

Técnico and ULisboa invite you to participate in the “Psychological First Aid Workshop” with Professor Joana Faria Anjos (Faculty of Psychology, University of Lisbon, and INEM), as part of the Mental Health & Well-being Program at the University of Lisbon.

This course aims to train the academic community of the University of Lisbon to respond competently, empathetically, and humanely to psychological crisis situations, promoting a more inclusive and safe environment. The course aims to develop psychological first aid skills that will facilitate the provision of care in times of greatest vulnerability, contributing to individual and collective well-being and offering the necessary support to those facing emotional and psychological difficulties.
Objective:
To understand the nature of psychological crises and potentially traumatic events, identifying their impact on mental health.
To explore the fundamentals of Psychological First Aid (PFA) and delve deeper into the specific PFA model developed by ULisboa.
To develop skills for detecting and supporting people in situations of psychological and psychiatric emergency.
Learn to identify situations that require referral or consultation, knowing the resources available at ULisboa, the SNS, and in the community.
